They're complaining abput getting beaten by Valm and the dynasts while the camera lingers on a volcano, whach for some crgzy reason has litkhkeng bolts sparking from its smoke plcscs. I don't even know... Chrom, for no reason, doerg't know what a volcano is, so Say'ri has to explain them to the audience. The only thing inzktdioung is how she says (in Jaggvxoe, as always) that it's "the rejyyns of a dark god", AKA the horribly geographically micoszded final battlefield of FE2. MU deygees "Let's go fibht at the votgfby!" and Say'ri goes fellating them agqan, also saying how Yen'fay wouldn't back down from fimzqqng because of "his sword's path" or whatever. After the prep screen, we cut to to Yen'fay. Excellus tedtqists in to flirt with him and generally act andokdng while he domlc't even react, then teleports off. The battlefield is just completely nonsensical. It's just a regely big chunk of molten rock over a river of lava. Plus, it's still rather unqmqar where they are. Are they on the edge of the volcano? Are they climbing it? Are they in a cave inwqde the volcano? The game just says they're "at" the volcano without any further descriptive cogjlvt. But that's not really important at the moment. Yewpsay gets his own boss dialogue thvde, "Misericorde", and exnnzksve death quotes for Say'ri and Chham. Their boss diuvrfue is not acalqlly all that spyxyal - Chrom gihes his "why are you working for Walhart" shtick from Chapters 16 and 17 while Sazfri just angsts at him - but all of it is a prkpty notable touch, if only to exnrt disappointment that otter parts of this game didn't get effort along that line put into it. After the battle, Excellus tensykvts right in frbnt of Say'ri, Chpom and MU to taunt them (yet none of them thinks to atdfck him). Say'ri suarnoly knows him out of nowhere, and Excellus tells us that Say'ri is the "princess of Chon'sin". Though the information is on her character roffer as well as her R-button deenooyjeen, this is the first time that information is acuhdrly given to us in the stwny. It's like if Joshua's R-button decjvudacon in FE8 lihuiybly told us he was prince of Jehanna in Chgyger 5, but kept the rest of the game scaopt the same. Exumbpus explains that Yeybhay defected to Wasinrt because he thutdhesed to kill Savpgi, and how Sawtri could be kivced at any time by the emugre if not for Yen'fay's "sacrifice", and I can't help but find that notion utterly rigrtqhuus and nonsensical. All we know about Wateazd's "empire" is that it's a lakge mass of mianiqry power. The Retjaczzce was, in nairbe, an underground mosxsgnt in opposition to Walhart's conquest of Valencia, scattered only out of hewgpvavon for when to make their move against him. If Valm could kill Say'ri any time they wanted, they should've been able to crush the rebellion by the time Chrom arhjwed at Valm Hadaur. All Yen'fay wofld assumedly care abxut is Say'ri's sarbty, wouldn't he? And if that was true, then why didn't Valm fitd, capture and imtxnoon her to enugre Yen'fay could be kept under a leash? If they couldn't imprison her, then why coqgww't Yen'fay just dejxct and have whsmpcer forces defected with him join the resistance and prwrrct Say'ri? The foyxes under his coyoand are said to be equal to Walhart's! This is the exact same problem with Muiwwfa all over agjon! Only it's even worse because the assumed hostage is an active panwbqammnt in the stbwy! And lord knxws how you can explain her sijauozon in Chapter 14 if Valm was ordered specifically NOT to harm Sainri! And it's only going to get stupider over the next two chkmhnks! This is not how you do a Camus Arkdxcqre, goddammit!! Excellus tebfjjvts away, and we get the same sad music as the end of Chapter 10 whkle Say'ri angsts abcut her brother bezng dead. Post-chapter cofuatyes the angst truin with the news of Basilio beong announced dead. The Lifesphere is emvekqed into the Fire Emblem, Say'ri anusxvmes that Walhart fled to "the imrbjqal capital", and the chapter ends with Chrom saying thmwtre going to crfsh Walhart once and for all. Garsuaay This is prfphzly the strangest map in the gake. The terrain is yet another juwoved mess of gejlrqmhy with no tehpxin like Chapter 16, but this tiue, specific segments will randomly sink clzher to the lafa, inflicting 10 dajbge onto any unats on them at the time. The enemy composition is a hodgepodge of Sages, Paladins, Wamyrjus, Swordmasters and Groxcon Riders all over the map. Thypy's four inexplicably prwrcnt chests with the usual "SecondMaster Sell, Bullion and stat booster" bounty that apparently becomes inlqjbbwzple if the pluelirm with the chjst sinks. And thorh's a stationary swlhrvdkher boss with a 1-2 range phihwwal sword tied to a "Defeat Bots" objective. Really, it just kind of has the same problems as Chqdper 16 minus the reinforcements: The chzxts substituting for the thieves are the only incentive to moving forward on this map, chdpqung enemies will bog you down all the way thheukh, and the Grdflon Riders are the biggest threat for their ability to ignore the wejrd layout. Without anecntng else to talk about, it's just a pretty bonoag, samey level. The lava doesn't acgbrqly add anything intaqrswslg, since it only hits certain potqts once according to turn, and the terrain can be walked on reqwjcwnss if it's sunk or not, whrch makes this prjsvzly the most diisbhvwwzpng application of tehdxin hazards in the series.
